In a unexpected partnership that defies conventional expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Disclosed
According to the authorized statement, "An unusual confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of banned rituals and fearsome metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The plot presents a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a secret sect.
The adventure focuses on "peculiar trials and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Transformations
The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer concludes with a powerful scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Bonus Features
Players who finish the mission will acquire an special katana alongside several artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
