Cars in German City Found Marked with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Police State

Police stated they were notified by a man who discovered a vehicle in Hanau covered with reddish fluid

Approximately 50 automobiles have been smeared with what seems to be human blood in the German municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, police confirm law enforcement.

Vehicles, building surfaces and postal boxes were vandalized, in some cases with prohibited symbols, they stated in a release.

Officers report they were alerted in the late hours on Wednesday, when a man observed that a car in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been covered with a reddish-hued liquid.

The substance had been applied in the form of a banned symbol, they reported.

Officers then discovered many other vandalized vehicles and building exteriors in the nearby vicinity.

These symbols are prohibited in Germany under regulations outlawing the public display of Nazi symbols.

Police state preliminary tests suggest the liquid was probably human blood.

"There is still no indication as to its source; investigators are currently not informed of any injuries in association with the occurrence," they stated.

Municipal representatives stated they were attempting "to unravel the mystery" and have appealed to the public for information.

A high-ranking political figure commented the attack made him stunned and required to be resolved rapidly.

"This incident hits the center of Hanau and reopens the wounds of the right-wing violent incident half a decade ago," he posted on social media, mentioning the death of nine individuals by a shooter targeting residents of immigrant origin in 2020.
