Around 25,000 homes in southeastern Queensland were left without power on Monday's dawn after severe thunderstorms swept through the area, producing powerful gusts reaching 109km/h.
Substantial Frozen Precipitation and Widespread Destruction
Residents observed substantial frozen pellets reaching sizes of 7cm in certain regions. Weather authorities verified that different parts across the state had been impacted by significant hail.

State Emergency Services handled 598 emergency reports across the area, mostly for structural issues but also for fallen timber and flooding.
